TV3 Date Rush contestant, Joan, has finally opened up about allegations of drug addiction and mental illness on live television.
Joan finally appeared on TV3 last night and confirmed that she is suffering from a serious mental disorder known as schizophrenia.
A little education on schizophrenia according to Wikipedia; “It is a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophrenia may result in some combination of hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behaviour that impairs daily functioning, and can be disabling. People with schizophrenia require lifelong treatment”.
On allegations that she was kicked out of the United States by her parents, Joan answered that she has never step a foot in a plane in her life──not to talk of staying in the US and getting kicked out.
According to Joan, she acquired her accent locally──what’s called LAFA──locally acquired foreign accent.
If Joan is saying she has never been to the United States then she has been lying to her friends about staying in the United States──and that’s not a big deal since people suffering from schizophrenia “interpret reality abnormally”.
On live television, Joan’s date, Williams, lamented that she has been pulling a lot of drama which makes him very uncomfortable around her.
