Cops are on the hunt for a Soweto woman who pulled a no show in court to testify against a man who murdered her mother back in 2019.
An online tabloid revealed in 2019 that Mbali Ntuli – a South African – reported her ex-boyfriend to the Police after he allegedly shot her and her mom during a fight.
The paper alleges that she revealed then that all she ever wanted was to get her ex-boyfriend behind bars for the crime.
Her mom died on the spot while the wounded Mbali was taken to hospital and recovered after a while.
The unnamed suspect was nabbed the same year after the police, with the help of Mbali hunted him down.
She was required by the law to testify against him in the South Gauteng High Court as the witness to the crime.
But the family alleges that Mbali got back with her boyfriend who was remanded in custody to date.
It is alleged that she has fallen in love with him again and cannot go further with testifying in court.
According to Gauteng police spokesperson, Captain Mavela Masondo the court has since issued a warrant of arrest for Mbali.
“According to information received, she lives at the suspect’s home in Kranskop, KZN,” he said to Daily Sun.
The matter was also confirmed by a shocked family member who revealed that Mbali had a change of heart when she started talking to her boyfriend while in custody.
The family is shocked by Mbali’s change of heart.
“It’s the right thing to do. I don’t know what’s got into her. She decided to love the man who took her mum away. It’s shocking,” a family member said.
