Nana Aba Anamoah is an award winning news anchor, broadcaster and media personality.

She has worked for different media houses such as TV3 and currently she works at Gh One TV where she is the news editor-in-chief.

Nana is one woman that has kept her life very private away from the prying eyes of the media. However, more often than not Nana has been in the headlines and not for the right reasons always.

Despite that, Nana’s career speaks volumes on how hard working she is and this has proven to be definitely her calling.

Nana Aba Anamoah Age

Nana Aba was born on the 19th of June in 1978. She is 42 years old.

Nana Aba Anamoah Early Life

Nana Aba’s father is Kwesi Anamoah. Kwesi Anamoah who was a broadcaster with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

Sadly, Nana Aba lost her father in 2015 round about the time that she resigned from TV3.

In an Instagram post she described her father as “aborofosemhene” which literally translates as “King of English matters.”

Nana Aba Anamoah Education

Nana Aba completed her secondary education at Ghana Senior High School.
She studied Banking and Finance at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Nana Aba Anamoah Relationship

Nana Aba was married to Osebor, whose real name is Richard Brown.

Osebor said he met Nana Aba on his way from Pokuase after a trip and that was how their friendship started.

The relationship did not last and there were speculations that at the time Nana Aba and Osebor got married; Osebor already had a wife he was married to who was in Italy at the time. However, this turned out not to be true.

Nana Aba has a son named Paa Kow. In an interview with Kofi Okyere Darko on Live FM, Nana Aba talked about how difficult the pregnancy was for her.

“It was difficult when I was pregnant. When I was pregnant, I was really young. I was a teenager. And I got pregnant. I swear to God, I tried everything to get rid of that child and it didn’t work. It just didn’t work,”

On a number of occasions, Osebor was labelled as the man that had a son with Nana Aba and he never took care of the child. However, Osebor disputed these rumours as untrue.

“No one will give birth to a child and throw them away,” Osibo explained.

Nana Aba Anamoah Career

Nana Aba found herself in the media industry and today she is regarded as one of the best personalities to have ever graced the Ghanaian television screens.

She has successfully hosted the Diva Show at TV3 where she was also the information presenter. However, she left the station upon her suspension and resignation.

Nana Aba then moved to the GH One TV. She became the host of a new political program known as State of Affairs.

After being with the TV station for a while she was given the opportunity where she began to anchor the station’s evening news, titled “GhOne News Tonight”.
Nana Aba is also a member of the Women’s Premier League committee in Ghana. The President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku announced the Women’s League Committee to the Women’s League Clubs in 2019. Nana Aba joined the likes of Madam Hilary Boateng, Rosalind Amoh, Madam Cleopatra Nsia, Jerry Dogbatse,  Nana Poku Fosu Geabour II and Christian Isaac Mensah

Nana Aba Anamoah Controversy

In 2019, Nana Aba was heard calling her fellow journalists when she called them a “shameless condescending bunch”. This was after she hosted Nana Adabor Ibrahim Issah Ampim on the show State Of Affairs.

Many criticised her for hosting the man because they felt that he was not a serious candidate who deserved to be given the platform.

Everyone was on envy mode when we got a glimpse of television personality Nana Aba Anamoah’s new range rover which was gifted to her on her birthday

The usual is that social media investigators don’t rest, someone ran her number plates and found out that the plates are in use and had been registered for another car.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) caught wind of this and poured hot water on Nana Aba by releasing a statement.

“The Authority wishes to remind vehicle owners and the general public that a person shall not drive a motor vehicle or trailer unless it is registered,” the statement sighted by Pulse.com.gh reads.

However, it seems , Nana Aba was not aware that the number plates were already registered to another vehicle. She immediately reported to the police and got in the process of having the vehicle registered in her name and get her own number plates. She also had a message for her haters on social media.

” I’m personally happy to help the police address this issue but for the trolls, I can’t be bothered. I just hope young people will direct their energies into more productive things than bring each other down”.

Although Nana has often butt heads with a number of people on social media, she continues being the best version of herself. Her on-screen presence is what Ghanaians loo forward to all the time
