Max FM OAP, Iya Jogbo is dead

Emmanuella Pobeni Adepoju, popular presenter of the Max FM, popularly known as Iya Jogbo, is dead.

Iya Jogbo died on Friday, July 24 in a statement by the management of TVC Communications, owners of TVC, TVC News, and Max FM Lagos and Abuja, following a brief illness from Bronchitis and an enlarged heart.

She has been known on Max FM as the host of the afternoon show Wetin Dey.

Talking on behalf of TVC Communications staff and management and Max FM, Andrew Hanlon, TVC Communications CEO said the deeply sad news of Emmanuella’s passing today sent a shock wave of grief and sorrow across TVC Communications and the MAX FM family.

In his words, “While we are struggling to come to terms with her untimely passing, our hearts and minds are focused solely on her beloved children and her family and friends who are immediately extended.

“Emmanuella ‘s presence will be with us forever as she leaves a legacy of immense talent and spirit from the nearly 10 years she spent with the organization as a core member of Max FM’s much-loved radio show Wetin Dey.

She will be greatly missed by all of us and by her many thousands of fans who turn in every day to hear her special broadcasts.

May she Rest in peace.

TVC Communications Announces the Death of Emmanuella Pobeni Adepoju The management of TVC Communications, owners of TVC, TVC News and Max FM Lagos and Abuja today announced the passing on of Emmanuella Pobeni Adepoju (popularly known as Iya Jogbo) who died as a result of brief illness from Bronchitis and an enlarged heart.
