Bontle was born in Soweto, a township of Johannesburg, and was mainly raised in the north-eastern region of Johannesburg.
Sadly, Bontle’s father passed on after he committed suicide and the dancer during an interview revealed that she blamed herself for her father’s death. She knew that her father was going to die because she had a nightmare about his passing which she told her parents. The nightmare turned out to be true and this deeply affected her.

Her mother has always been her support system, including her sisters, Candice and Refilwe Modiselle.

Bana ba Grace Modiselle. Bana ba Percy Modiselle. I instantly want to cry when I think of how far we’ve come. My God…you’re both so perfect! So God-like. I’d be unsolvable levels of weak & exceptionally wack, if I never had you two raise me. Check me. The sisters I wish every little girl, young lady and growing woman had! You guys taught me how to love. Even myself. Not the idea of Bontle, but loving myself as I am. The odd stuff too. Being Flawed. Overly Emotional in moments. Imperfect. Being odd/strange at times. Through the decisions I had made that challenged you too, you stood by me. You loved me harder when I hated myself. My sanctuary. My stillness. My prayers. My prayer warriors. My counselors. My soundboards. My truth. My sanity. My comedic relief in every moment. You’re both so stupid, I love it! You’re loving, so selflessly too. You deserve everything beautiful in this world, and I hope I can give you some of that as we grow. You make me so happy guys. So so Happy! I also know that It gets tough. IT IS TOUGH! The fights we each put up are unthinkable, but look at us, raising each other to become the women we promised to be. We’re 3 Strong Black Women, inspiring beyond our comprehension….impacting countless, immeasurable lives, including our own, in our own respective ways. I’m gonna go back to mine now, but know…. I miss you everyday, I love you even harder! Thank you, for EVERYTHING, my ANGELS! ??❤️ #ModiselleDiaries #ModiselleSisters #DestinysChildWithThreeBeyonces

More than genuinely loving the song, we loved being the representation of what it advocates – a young, black love that have the intention of solidifying their lifetime commitment to each other, represented here as marriage. We understood the implications of deciding on how to best go about making the greatest impact in encouraging a conversation of love, something that doesn’t make the headlines, and so we were bold in our approach. Everything that we posted were all images leading up to the video, we just hadn’t announced that yet. Those who know us personally, who were all notified and prepared prior to the video dropping, know that we are not the type of folk to let out the details of our personal lives like that. People know of us being together but do not know anything beyond that, particularly the state of our relationship. That privacy remains true for our engagement and marriage which will remain our private matter. Those who need to know, will know. Apologies to those who feel disappointed right now but we hope you find solace in us being together and happy. Major love to those who laughed it off and found it brilliant. Thank you to those who give continued support. Reaction and interpretation is open to anything. Everyone is open to decide how they feel about it. We, however, are happy and proud of it. It’s huge. It’s beautiful. It’s really all love. ✊❤ Watch @lasaucesa ft @amandablacksa – ‘I Do’ here: https://youtu.be/ISNm4knGl-k ?

Bontle looked stunning on the day as always and congratulatory messages just kept pouring in for the happy couple. The couple sealed the deal when they released a new single Sweetie Lavo. The song celebrates their most recent joyous moment, their wedding.

Bontle Modiselle Dance Moves

If there is one thing we cannot deny is that Bontle has got some priddy (excuse the pun) good moves. In 2007, Modiselle began her dancing career by attending dancing activities, including dance classes led by choreographers. She appeared in a number of music videos with artists like DJ Tira, Rouge and Major League DJ.

She usually makes videos with her man, Priddy Ugly, and the two surely look like they will be having a good time dancing together.

It seems like the dancing grooves run in the family too. Watch as Bontle and her sister Refilwe do the most and they took the #LevelUpChallenge to a whole new level.

I look at you and I know that I am worthy. It’s you. It all started with you! @candicemodiselle and I wouldn’t be who and what we are today if we never had you @refilwemodiselle. You’re the template, our guide and the torch we always needed to light our darkest days. The wolf leader of this pack. You’ve slapped me more times than mama has scolded me but you also held and squeezed me tight until the last tear I cried dried up on your breast to the sound of your heartbeat. You’ve kicked me out the house…but you also paid for my school fees. You’ve guided me through this tricky industry of ours and never wanted me to accept anything below my value or worth. Teach people how to treat you – I saw that in you. In the moments I was afraid to speak my mind, you said it best for me. You’re so so brave. You fight for what’s yours…you fight for us. You know what you deserve, I struggle to make sense of it for myself But I’m better at it because of you. I’m At my best because of you. We will be greater together! Man, you’re in the history books forever: Africa’s First Model with Albinism. That’s MY sister…with all you’ve achieved my favourite part of you is that you’re my sister, with the loudest and most infectious laugh in any room…I wouldn’t trade you in for a damn thing. I love you so so deeply my honeymooner….sweetypier! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY QUEEN ??❤️?

Bontle looks like she may be having a blissful life, but she’s also had her fair share of downs. Just last year when Bontle has welcomed her baby girl she revealed the struggles she had before like other women who have gone through the same thing.

In a post, Bontle had this to say,

“I know my pregnancy journey looked easy. My approach was deliberate. Intentional! I made certain to dance my way through it. To have someone inspired to see and feel pregnancy differently was a goal. However, my difficulties never made it to the socials.”

Brace yourself. || I know my pregnancy journey looked easy. My approach was deliberate. Intentional! I made certain to dance my way through it. To have someone inspired to see and feel pregnancy differently was a goal. However, my difficulties never made it to the socials. Some day, I’ll fill you in on the insecurities, the psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual hurdles I went through following the two miscarriages I had before the successful birth of my baby Afrika. I’ll speak openly about the fears that challenged me and had me asking myself if I would ever be woman enough to create and carry life through. But for now, I want to remain and bask in the glory of not being a victim of what once hurt me immensely but being the victor of the mommy I am. Talk about God’s will being done in God’s perfect time. So….Bring on the swelling, discoloration, the stretch marks, soft spots & cellulite. I’m not immune. Let me have a field day with the sleepless nights, the countless nappy changes and random cries trying to figure out what she needs. Let me fall in love with the newer imperfections my body has inherited. These are the vain concerns I’d trade in any day for my baby, who I now get to stare at, hold, kiss and love unconditionally. This image is Day 10 of my post-partum and we still take it a day at a time…with greater intent. The approach remains the same – go into each day with courage, with love, resilience and knowing that I am able! I will continue to dance through it all. New mommies, despite your difficulties, I encourage you to do the same – simply because WE ARE ABLE! ❤️

Pregnancy is truly a delicate but ultimately special journey which is filled with complications at every turn. If you are lucky enough to have a child in your life, you should always be grateful for the process that brought them there.

We wish her nothing but the best with her hubby and new baby girl.
